A standard crib sheet is 28 by 52 inches.
Why do my crib sheets keep popping off? +
The elastic or fabric may have come loose. Or they may be the wrong size. Remove the sheet, measure the mattress and look for a sheet of that exact size.
How tight should a crib sheet fit? +
It should fit tightly and securely over the mattress so that all four corners stay anchored and the fabric lies completely flat without bunching, wrinkling, or pulling up. Pulling at any corner should be diffcult and the corner should not pop off.
How many crib sheets do I need? +
Two is a good starting point. One on the crib, one in the wash. A third is good to have for emergencies.
Why are my crib sheets pilling? +
Friction, harsh washing, or simply low quality is causing the short or weak fibres to break apart. This means that it's time to replace the sheet.
How often should I wash crib sheets? +
At least once a week and immediately after any spit-up, vomiting, or diaper leaks.
Should I wash crib sheets before first use? +
Yes. Even certified sheets may carry some residue from packing and transport.
