Bassinet mattresses come in different shapes and sizes, so a generic sheet does not always sit the way it should. A Halo fitted bassinet sheet needs to follow the oval, not just the measurements.

We use 100% jersey knit cotton because it is soft, breathable and has just enough stretch to fit comfortably around the mattress.
It is also OEKO-TEX certified and made without polyester.

The Halo BassiNest uses an oval mattress, so the shape of the sheet matters. A Halo bassinet sheet cover cut as a rectangle will never sit flat on it. Ours are made to follow that shape, with elastic around the fitted edge to help everything sit smoothly and stay in place.

Halo fit questions
Is this cut for the Halo BassiNest mattress specifically, or is it a universal sheet? +
Cut for the mattress, not sold as a universal sheet. The BassiNest pad is an oval, so the sheet is made to that shape and those dimensions rather than stretched over from a rectangular pattern.
Will it stay on the Halo BassiNest overnight without working loose? +
That is what the full-perimeter elastic is for. It grips under the whole edge of the pad instead of just the corners, so the sheet holds through a night of your baby moving around.
Does it fit the Halo BassiNest mattress shape without bunching at the corners? +
Yes. Because the sheet is cut on the oval curve, there is no spare fabric left over to gather. A rectangular sheet on an oval pad is what causes bunched ends.
Does it shrink after washing and stop fitting the Halo BassiNest? +
The cotton jersey is pre-shrunk before the sheets are sewn, so they keep their fit through regular washing. Machine wash cold or warm and tumble dry low. If one ever does shrink on you, our lifetime replacement promise covers it.
How many bassinet sheets do I need for a Halo BassiNest? +
Two is the usual answer, and it is why ours come as a 2-pack: one on the mattress, one clean and ready for the middle of the night. A third is worth it if you would rather not do laundry on a schedule.
